This year Bistro Moncur Woollahra is honouring it’s 25th Anniversary, celebrating with an Anniversary Dinner hosted by previous Bistro Moncur owner and chef, Damien Pignolet.

Join Damien Pignolet as he returns to Bistro Moncur Woollahra for one night only. Damien and Head Chef Mark Williamson will walk you through their specially crafted 5 course Silver Anniversary menu that celebrates the old and the new, featuring classics from the very first Bistro Moncur menu. For this special occasion, Damien Pignolet and Group Executive Chef Ben Varela will take part in a Q&A that explores the past, present and future of Bistro Moncur. Bistro Moncur first opened its doors, under the helm of Damien Pignolet, on Moncur Street in Woollahra in 1993, with a focus on delivering great food and drinks served by the best in the business.

Damien Pignolet is one of the most important players in Sydney’s restaurant scene. Best known for his time at Claudes and Bistro Moncur, as well as for his role in mentoring a generation of young chefs, Damien revolutionised pub dining in Sydney’s 90s. At the time, there were no real “gastro pubs” and his refined bistro food was an immediate hit with Bistro Moncur becoming an Eastern Suburbs icon.
