For one night only, immerse yourself in a world where fine art meets culinary excellence. At $275 per person, indulge in a bespoke three-course French menu, thoughtfully paired with a selection of premium beverages and be taken on a journey as artist James McGrath personally guides you through the inspirations and stories behind his mesmerising works.
‘Narcissus’ Sphere’ showcases James McGrath’s latest work, merging Dutch still life with Australian flora. The series explores the tension between his Western training and the Australian landscape. Using spheres as a motif, McGrath draws connections between 16th-century globes and 1980s 3D rendering to reflect on art’s perception of climate change. These spheres, like terrariums, symbolize shifting views on art and the environment, echoing the myth of Narcissus—where reflections are distorted by perception.
